Archaeology Field School in Peru

Don’t miss the opportunity to explore the rich history of the Peruvian Andes in this 3-credit archaeology field school!

Students will participate in hands-on research at the Cerro Blanco site, a Chancay administrative center, through a 4-week field experience in Peru and an 8-week on-campus introduction to Andean archaeology.

Gain practical experience in excavation, drone mapping, GIS, and artifact analysis, while collaborating with local students and faculty. Special cultural field trips and immersion in the community provide unique opportunities to practice Spanish and learn more about indigenous ecologies, trade, and resource management.

This program is open to students interested in anthropology, political science, Latin American studies, environmental sustainability, and more.
